A conscious approach to Health, Fitness, and Wellness. Stronger, leaner, and pain-free isn't a one-size-fits all fitness prescription.  If you are looking to reverse chronic pain, improve muscular function, overcome a knee, neck, or shoulder issue, run an ultra marathon or something in between, MyoBio can help.

When I was a kid I would go up to my grandparents for summer camps and family vacations on the lake. Everyday rain or shine my grandfather would get up shower and put on a pair of slacks, a polo shirt, and some sturdy leather shoes. After he drank a cup of coffee he would slip out the door quietly and go for a two mile walk around the neighborhood or the park where we camped. As we both got older the walks took a bit longer than they used to. He started complaining of pain in his knee. He blamed it on his time in the Army in WW2 and getting older. He went to the Dr. who after a couple x-rays said his knee was fine.

" Its just a little arthritis but that's just about getting older." the Dr. assured him

He was still out walking but he was convinced to turn in those sturdy leather shoes for some tennis shoes to ease the pain.

Over time the pain got worse. The walks got shorter and less frequent until one day they stopped all together. He added some weight which his doctor told him he had to lose and ironically told him to take up walking. My grandparents cut back on travel. He had to focus more on "where he could take a load off" instead of the actual trip. Going out for groceries or errands became major events that left him drained mentally as well as physically. The pain moved from his knee to his hip and lower back. A couple of canes showed up around the house and then balance bars in the shower and bathroom.

The yearly trips to the coast of Texas to escape the Ohio winters were the next thing to go. The hip pain kept my Grandfather from driving the RV south and my grandmother never really felt comfortable driving something so large. They stopped travelling completely when they sold his boat "Bouncin Betts" and camper on Lake Erie. The losses were hard to watch as they played out in real time without any real understanding of why. His health continued to decline until he finally passed away before I enlisted myself in the Navy.

My grandfather didn't want a beach body or a six pack. He certainly didn't want to spend hours in a gym. He wanted his knee to stop hurting so he could travel to Texas, take his wife Elizabeth out on their boat, and take his walk in the shoes of his choice. I wanted him to have more active years and independence to do the same.
